Eskişehir and High-Speed Train Production

Rail Systems Cluster (RSK) Chairman Kenan Işık stated, "The national high-speed train tender has been announced. The production of high-speed train sets will take place at TÜLOMSAŞ facilities, marking the beginning of a very important process for the regional and national economy. We, as a city, must be prepared for this."

He expressed gratitude for the dedicated efforts and determination shown by TÜLOMSAŞ during this process, noting that this tender adds another historical responsibility to TÜLOMSAŞ, which has a century-long legacy. Işık emphasized that this initiative initiates a significant technological transformation that will create high added value for the national and regional economies, which will be better understood in the future.

AN IMPORTANT START LIKE DEVRIM CAR

Stating that the tender has been opened for a total of 96 high-speed train sets, which will start with technology transfer and aim for an incredible 74% local contribution, Mr. Kenan Işık remarked, "This process marks an important beginning, at least as significant as the Devrim car. However, to ensure that its fate does not mirror that, everyone must fully support TÜLOMSAŞ and the sector."

PART OF ESKİŞEHİR'S STRATEGY

He pointed out that the rail systems sector is part of Eskişehir's strategic industrialization model, highlighting significant progress made over the past seven years through clustering efforts. "Our region and national industry are ready for any task assigned during this process. This will be as important as the domestic car in a way that will be clearer in the future," Işık added.

SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO EXPORT

In his statement, Kenan Işık also highlighted the URAYSİM Test Center Project, emphasizing that the issue will be resolved holistically. He stated that all rail system vehicles and products produced would be easily sold abroad. "This will lead to the formation of an industry that will significantly contribute to the country's needs for high added value, marketable, and competitive export targets," he explained. Işık underscored the necessity for decision-makers in both the city, the region, and the entire country to provide the necessary support and importance to this issue during this process, emphasizing the vital importance of being problem-solvers alongside TÜLOMSAŞ.
